New food trends
In some countries, people like to blend fast food with their own traditional cuisine, creating exciting new combinations of fast food and their own traditional foods. For example, a Japan version of an Italian pizza might be sprinkled with nori (seaweed), and in Nigeria, fast food is blended with traditional African food, such as yams.

In our country, we can find fast food anywhere. For example, there are Lotteria, Burgerking, and McDonalds. Of course, Koreans like to eat hamburgers and pizza, but if it , tastes strange, only a few Koreans like it. Therefore, they have made their own fusion foods - kimchiburger in Lotteria, rich gold in Pizza Hut. Thus, the tastes of Korean and foreign food are combined.

Many restaurants in Korea are from other countries. They have some special menus. Also, they use Kim chi, Bulgogi and red pepper sauce. For example, one of the pizza restaurants has created its own menu. It uses Kim chi as a topping. This is an example of "fusion." The trend in Korea is to combine traditional Korean food and the food from other countries.

I think that a new food trend is a natural result. If some of Western food are selling originally, most Korean won't eat them that are incongruent their appetite. Then, the restaurant will fail.

All over the world, there are many American restaurants. However, these restaurants are changing according to the tastes of the people in each country. In my country, Korea, fast food restaurants serve many kinds of foods that suit Korean tastes. For example, there is the 'bulgogi buger', which is so delicious. Bulgogi is a famous food in Korea. The fast food restaurants have koreanized their food so that Koreans will like it.

It seems like every country has at least one pizza topping that's not common else where. In Ireland it was corn. In Spain it was anchovies.

In Japan, every food from foreign countries change the tasts and the style that is adapted is a Japanese one. I think that it is the basic principle in capital market. As a result, Japanese travelers sometimes feel that the foods at the real places are unappetizing. On the other hand, some people say that we should not change the original taste of foreign dishes in Japan.

It's really common. It's a trend for frachises because if they don't, they can't survive in the competition. In Korea, McDonald's makes a Bulgogiburger which has Bulgogi in it. Also, Lotteria, which is a Korean fast food restaurant, makes ricebugers. Bennigan's makes Kimchizigea and Kimchibokkumbab and so on.

I agree with Ilsoo. Many fast food stores try to create new food like this. It's a new food trend. As a result, the food is Koreanized.

In Korea, also making new types of fast food with our own traditional cuisine is very popular idea. Therefore, Korean Pizza Hut created a new type of pizza, called 'Rich Gold'. 'Rich Gold' is the first trying pizza which is made with mashed sweet potatoes between toppings and the outside bread.
